All together / altogether

All together is a phrase meaning ‘everything or everyone is in one place or time’.

The words all and together do not always go together – they can be separated in a sentence.
They all went to the beach together.

Altogether is an adverb. It means ‘entirely, on the whole, generally’.
They were not altogether happy with the service.
